Intercultural Development Inventory

Preliminary Assessment using the Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®). The IDI® is the premier instrument used both nationally and internationally to measure individuals’ and groups’ abilities to effectively bridge culture and racial differences in order to create a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment. It quantifies where groups and individuals perceive themselves versus where they actually are in navigating differences. The results help organizations understand their unique strengths and needs for growth in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

IDI® is available in 17 languages and is transformative in bridging across various differences (age, ability status, race, class, sexual orientation, gender identity, etc.) allowing the organization’s intentions to match its actual impact. It is designed for trainings to be customized for the organization’s level of intercultural development. IDI® can be administered electronically in about 20 minutes.

Group debriefing sessions are required by IDI® regulations with the delivery of group results. The group session can be delivered to the organization as a whole or broken into smaller groups. Following that, if individuals would like to receive their individual results, they must schedule an Individual Debrief.
